Backend Developer

Summary

Build and maintain secure backend services using Java EE, Node.js, and Spring, with RDBMS and NoSQL databases in a Linux environment.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development.
At least 3 years of experience in Java EE and/or Node.js development.
Technical certifications are an advantage (e.g. JavaScript, Java, SQL (RDBMS), NoSQL).
Experience in software development using Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery, and secure software development best practices.
Experience with one or more RDBMS such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Experience with one or more Application / Web Servers: Apache, NGINX, Tomcat, JBoss, IIS.
Preferred server-side technical skill set includes: Node.js, Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, iBatis, Express.js, Hapi.js, HTML, CSS, PHP, .NET (C#), Python.
Experience in building applications using containerization technologies (Docker) is an advantage.
Familiarity with build tools such as Maven, Ant, NPM, or Gradle is an advantage.
Expertise in NoSQL databases and a good understanding of MongoDB or similar technologies is an advantage.
Familiarity with Linux / basic Linux commands (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web service technologies including SOAP, REST, ESB, and API Gateway.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Experience with Agile Development is an advantage.
