Backend Developer

Compensation: ₹14L – ₹18L • No equity

Enflix is a mobile app for short vertical dramas made for India.

You will be our founding backend engineer, owning data, APIs, payments, and the analytics pipeline. You design the schema, the security model, and the services the app runs on. We grow the backend team behind you.

What you'll do

• Design the PostgreSQL schema and row level security for tiered access (Free, Basic, Premium)
• Build Supabase Edge Functions in Deno and TypeScript: auth, Razorpay webhooks, telemetry intake, ad frequency capping
• Run light GCP infra (Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, BigQuery) through early scale
• Own migrations, observability, and API contracts with the mobile team

Must have

• 2 to 4 years backend experience with PostgreSQL (strong MySQL and willing to switch is fine)
• TypeScript or strong JavaScript
• Shipped a production system serving 100K+ users
• Comfortable with compute, object storage, IAM, and secrets
• Strong SQL: you can read a query plan and know when to denormalize

Nice to have

• Supabase or another Postgres BaaS
• GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery)
• Razorpay or other payments integration
