Backend Developer
Summary
The Backend Developer will lead engineering teams and oversee the full lifecycle of SaaS POS and supply chain platforms. The role requires expertise in payment infrastructure, cloud management on AWS/GCP, and a broad stack including Java, Go, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
this position will play a pivotal role in driving the development and maintenance of our cutting-edge platforms, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Key responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of talented software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of our SaaS POS software, eCommerce Supply Chain solutions, and other key platforms
Leverage your deep understanding of QRIS, card payments infrastructure, and retail merchant loyalty solutions to develop innovative and user-friendly products
Manage cloud deployments on AWS and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with regulatory and payment industry standards
Guide development using Java, Springboot, Flutter, GoLang, PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB, Python, Next.js, Node.js, Nest.js and React.js, staying abreast of the latest technologies and best practices
Manage departmental budgeting, cloud cost optimization (FinOps), and resource/capacity planning
Work closely with product management, design, QA, and other teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery
Implement and manage Agile development methodologies to promote efficiency, adaptability, and continuous improvement
Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security through rigorous testing and code reviews
Communicate design and negotiate delivery schedule with related counterparts and clients with emphasis on quality and business target achievement
About you
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in IT management roles, including application management, infrastructure, and identity systems, with significant exposure to the financial sector, especially banking
Strong knowledge of agile and waterfall software development methodologies, SDLC, tools, and frameworks
Strong knowledge of payments / middleware application development
Experience managing third-party partner/vendor relationships, payment gateway integrations, and external banking partners/acquirers
Understanding of Multi-tenant database architectures and implementation
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Springboot, Flutter, GoLang, PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB, Python, Next.js, Node.js, Nest.js and React.js
Strong knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS, GCP)
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
