Build and scale the backend systems powering Frank & Oak’s e-commerce platform using PHP, MySQL, and APIs to deliver a seamless shopping experience.

Frank & Oak is a leading vertically integrated menswear brand and retailer selling across North-America through its online boutique – www.frankandoak.com. It has seen tremendous growth momentum and media coverage (TIME, Tech Crunch, The Next Web, GQ) for both its garments and its unique menswear membership experience.

What started as a team of two handling everything, from photography to modeling, quickly grew to a team of more than a hundred people. Their mission is simple: help a generation of men dress and live well. Frank & Oak began with an innovative approach to integrating design and technology – all for the purpose of helping men buy the clothes and accessories they crave at reasonable prices.

It’s still Day One, though, and we’re looking to add even more motivated and talented people to take Frank & Oak to the next level of its already staggering growth.

Where you’ll make a difference

You are a PHP master who eats APIs for breakfast. Our Backend Developer will help Frank & Oak deliver an amazing e-commerce experience that can scale to meet increasing demand.

Qualifications

About you

  • Team player
  • Proficiency with PHP, MySQL & SQL
  • Working knowledge of XML and JSON
  • Superb troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Intense passion and desire to be successful in the field of web development
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail

The following will be considered strong assets

  • Portfolio of open source projects
  • Experience with Magento
  • Experience with other e-commerce platforms
  • Experience working with payment gateways
  • Experience with Zend or other MVC frameworks
  • Experience with continuous integration and test-driven development
