ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Backend Developer (Go), you will play a key role in modernizing a large‑scale platform by shaping cloud‑native services that support millions of users. This role focuses on building resilient backend foundations, influencing architectural decisions, and driving long‑term technical evolution. You’ll work in a product‑oriented, ownership‑driven environment that values clean design, autonomy, and continuous improvement. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Design and develop scalable microservices using Go (Golang) for transactional systems;
  • Take ownership of infrastructure provisioning using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code);
  • Migrate data and logic from a legacy PHP monolith to Cloud SQL/Spanner;
  • Collaborate with mobile engineers to define API schemas and requirements;
  • Ensure high performance and reliability of services deployed to Cloud Run/GKE;
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

MUST HAVES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
  • 5+ years of backend software development experience;
  • Strong proficiency in Go (Golang);
  • Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery);
  • Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools;
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems;
  • Experience with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases;
  • Upper‑intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience with Kotlin (server‑side);
  • Ability to read or understand PHP for analyzing a legacy monolith during migration;
  • Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers;
  • Experience with event‑driven architecture.
