Backend Developer - Golang (Junior to Senior)

We are looking for Backend Developers across all experience levels (Junior to Senior) to join our engineering team. You will design and build high-performance, distributed backend services that power our real-time platform. This role has a strong emphasis on solution architecture - we want engineers who don't just write code, but who think about how systems fit together and can propose and own end-to-end technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs, primarily in Golang

• Build and operate event-driven systems using message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions

• Design database schemas and optimize queries for both relational and NoSQL databases

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; perform root-cause analysis

• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle

• (Senior) Lead solution design for new features and systems, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical standards across the team
  

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Golang or another backend language (Java, Python, Node.js, etc.) with willingness to work in Go

• Hands-on experience with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ — producers/consumers, partitioning, delivery guarantees, error handling

• Solid knowledge of system design: microservices, caching, load balancing, high availability, and scalability patterns

• Good understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Redis): data modeling, indexing, transactions, and query optimization

• Strong problem-solving skills — able to break down complex problems, debug across service boundaries, and reason about trade-offs

• A solution-architect mindset: you think beyond individual tickets, consider the bigger picture, and can propose designs that balance business needs, cost, and technical constraints
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code

• Experience building real-time or high-throughput systems (e.g., sports data, gaming, fintech)

• Familiarity with gRPC, WebSocket, and RESTful API design

• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing)
