Backend Developer

About the role

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to join ITOOLS SDN. BHD. in Conezion, Putrajaya. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role for development, implementation, monitoring and maintaining of web application systems which includes but not limited to:

Understand client requirements & functional specifications. Code, test, document programs and participate in reviews, ensuring that the programs are well written and adequately tested against prescribed standards and other tasks commensuration with this position

Key responsibilities
· Develop and maintain web based applications, design and implementation using PHP and other web technologies.

· Implement development plan for web-related applications.

· Analyses client requirements, functional specifications, and business processes to translate them into effective technical solutions.

· Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code in accordance with established coding standards and best practices.

· Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, development notes, and troubleshooting guides.

· Learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and development practices as required by project needs.

· Upkeep maintenance and enhance existing web application for clients.

· UAT and troubleshooting.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

· To participate in code reviews and testing.

What we're looking for

· Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or IT related with experience in web applications development.

· Excellent experience as Programmer / Developer / Software Engineer in PHP.

· Strong hands-on experience in Laravel is mandatory. Candidates must have practical experience developing and maintaining applications using the Laravel framework.

· Good understanding of Laravel architecture, MVC principles, routing, middleware, controllers, Eloquent ORM, migrations, validation, authentication, and database integration.

· Good written and verbal communication in English and Malay.

· Have strong interest in Internet technologies and able to learn new skills when required.

· Fast learner and able to work under tight deadlines.

· At least 2 to 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position, or equivalent.
