Backend Developer
Summary
KOPI RECRUIT is hiring backend developers (multiple positions) in Singapore to build sync microservices and REST APIs, rewrite ~49 legacy batch scripts into a modern framework, and modernise VIS/CGS applications with Spring Boot backends. Position 3: Senior Backend Developer
Key responsibilities include developing bi-directional sync microservices, building and testing REST API endpoints, integrating with upstream and downstream systems, participating in code reviews and unit/integration testing, and maintaining technical documentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Java or C# and RESTful API development
- Experience with microservices architecture and integration patterns
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and Agile/Scrum practices
Track 3 – PTMS Backend Jobs
This track involves the sequential rewrite of approximately 49 legacy batch scripts across CGS, Communications, Reports, and Processing modules into a modern framework. The vendor developer will work closely with the internal PTMS team to ensure functional parity and integration with the modernised application.
Position 4: Backend Developer – Batch Jobs Rewrite
Key responsibilities include analysing and reverse-engineering existing legacy batch scripts to understand processing logic and dependencies, sequentially rewriting batch jobs across CGS, Communications, Reports, and Processing modules into a modern framework, ensuring functional parity between legacy and rewritten jobs, implementing unit and regression tests for each rewritten batch job, and supporting integration with the modernised PTMS application.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development
- Experience with batch job frameworks and scheduled processing systems
- Ability to analyse and reverse-engineer legacy scripts
- Proficiency in Java, C#, or equivalent modern backend language
- Experience with unit and regression testing for batch workloads
Track 4 – CGS & VIS Application Modernisation
This track covers the sequential modernisation of two applications — VIS (approximately November 2026 to March 2027) followed by CGS (approximately April 2027 to October 2027). Vendor developers will work with internal product managers to convert legacy JSP-based UIs to React Native and rebuild backend services using Spring Boot.
Position 6: Backend Developer
Key responsibilities include building Spring Boot backend services for both VIS and CGS applications, implementing business logic aligned with domain and product requirements, supporting API integration with the modernised frontend, and participating in code reviews and testing activities.
