Responsibilities

  • Build and scale microservices in Kotlin for the Warehouse Outbound & Insights team, powering smarter supply chain operations.
  • Design and deliver technical solutions that align with architecture and business processes.
  • Hands-on development: create proofs of concept, write clean code, implement automated testing, ensure security and code quality, and set best practices.
  • Contribute to standards: shape and evolve technical guidelines for long-term scalability.
  • Collaborate and share: bring expertise to cross-team initiatives within the AH Stores and Supply Chain Technology Platform.
  • Enable growth: improve team skills and processes to deliver business value faster and more effectively.

What You Will Do

You work at the heart of the Albert Heijn supply chain. The AH Store Replenishment product creates orders for 1200+ Albert Heijn stores. The role involves driving reliable and scalable software that supports a high-service supply chain and a quality shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Java/Kotlin developer.
  • Expertise in Microservices, Kotlin (or Java), PostgreSQL or MongoDB, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
  • Cloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS/Google experience acceptable).
  • CI/CD experience, including test automation and release engineering (Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions).
  • Strong understanding of code quality, IT security, test automation, and cloud practices.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to identify technical improvements and contribute to a technical roadmap.
