About the project
Join 's Customs Technology Team and help build digital solutions that power customs operations across a global logistics network.
We develop scalable applications and integrations that automate business-critical processes, connect enterprise systems, and enable seamless data exchange between customers, logistics platforms, and customs services.
As a Backend Developer, you will work with modern technologies including Kotlin, Kafka, REST APIs, relational databases, and cloud-based platforms. You will help solve real-world challenges in distributed systems, integrations, and workflow automation while delivering meaningful impact at global scale.
Your responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications supporting customs and logistics processes
- Build scalable and reliable integrations between internal and external systems
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and event-driven solutions
- Work with relational databases, ensuring high performance and data quality
- Participate in the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, and other development teams
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support troubleshooting, performance optimization, and operational excellence
Our requirements
- Experience in backend development using Kotlin
- Good understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with system integrations and API-based communication
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and modern software architecture principles
- Understanding of distributed systems and integration patterns
- Experience working with Git and software development best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to ownership
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
- English proficiency allowing daily cooperation with international stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with customs, logistics, supply chain, or transportation domains
