Builds and maintains backend services in Laravel and Node.js, designs RESTful APIs, and optimizes databases for a hospitality-focused SaaS platform.

Backend Developer – Laravel & Node.js

In this position, you will:

Develop and maintain backend services using Laravel (PHP) and Node.js (Express, Fastify, or NestJS)
Write clean, well-structured code following industry best practices and standards
Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software, APIs, and databases
Collaborate with the Product Manager and scrum team to define and implement new features
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
Optimize the platform for performance, scalability, and reliability
Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and enforce coding standards across the team
Follow Agile methodologies and actively engage in planning, grooming, and sprint reviews

Do you have the right ingredients?

At least 2 years of experience with Laravel and Node.js using Express, Fastify, or NestJS
Strong background in OOP, MVC, and modern PHP development
Proven experience building RESTful APIs, working with JSON, and integrating external services
Familiarity with frontend technologies like Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and caching tools like Redis or Memcache
Exposure to DevOps tools and cloud services (AWS, Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines)
Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
Bonus if you have knowledge of microservice architecture, GraphQL, or event-driven systems
Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player who can work independently when needed
