Role Overview
As a Jr. Backend Engineer, you’ll work with our engineering team to build the scalable backend infrastructure that powers our mobile and web products. You’ll design robust system architectures, build secure and high-performance APIs, develop scalable backend services, and optimize databases that support millions of user interactions.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, microservices, distributed systems, database design, and modern software engineering practices. Every system you build will contribute to creating reliable, scalable, and high-performing products used by customers around the world.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving complex engineering problems, designing scalable systems, and building reliable backend infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Backend System Development
Build scalable backend services for web and mobile applications.
Develop clean, maintainable, and production-ready backend code.
Design reusable backend modules and business logic.
Build robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
2. Backend Architecture & System Design
Understand scalable software architecture principles.
Design efficient backend system architecture.
Design secure and scalable API structures.
Design normalized and optimized database schemas.
Build backend systems capable of supporting large-scale applications.
3. Database Engineering
Design relational and NoSQL databases.
Optimize database performance and queries.
Ensure data consistency and integrity.
Implement indexing and performance optimization strategies.
4. API Development & Integration
Build secure REST and GraphQL APIs.
Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
Implement authentication and authorization.
Design scalable API architecture following best practices.
5. Cloud Infrastructure
Develop and deploy backend applications on AWS.
Work with EC2, S3, CloudFront, and cloud-native services.
Configure Nginx and Linux-based servers.
Build scalable deployment pipelines using Docker.
6. Performance & Scalability
Optimize application performance.
Improve backend response times.
Implement Redis caching strategies.
Design systems capable of handling high traffic.
Monitor and improve system scalability.

Who Should Apply
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
Experience with PHP, Node.js, Python, or similar backend technologies.
Good understanding of databases, APIs, and object-oriented programming.
Must have built at least one complete backend application involving a database, authentication, and REST APIs.
Familiarity with Git and software development best practices.
