PALCOMM ITALIA SRL is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to design, build and evolve the infrastructure behind our digital platforms. You will work closely with the CTO on APIs, data, CMS and systems in production, leading backend technical choices for reliability, performance and maintainability.
The role requires autonomous, product‑oriented developers with strong backend production experience across high-traffic systems, including CMS platforms, payments, and AI integrations.
Design, build and evolve the application infrastructure behind digital platforms. Lead backend architecture (APIs, databases, services, CMS and asynchronous processes). Design and evolve PostgreSQL schema, protecting data integrity and performance. Design and build custom CMS platforms with publishing workflows and permissions. Implement authentication, authorization and roles at platform level. Integrate payments, subscriptions and third-party services (Stripe). Run and tune AWS cloud infrastructure for scale, security and cost control. Define logging, monitoring, observability and incident response for production. At least 5 years of professional backend development on high-availability, high-traffic production applications. Strong Node.js and modern backend frameworks (NestJS preferred), with TypeScript. Solid PostgreSQL: schema design, complex queries, optimization and indexing. Hands-on experience designing and building custom CMS or content management systems (models, publishing, versioning, workflows, roles and permissions). Experience designing multi-layer caching (Redis, CDN/edge caching, cache invalidation) for high-traffic applications. Experience designing and running cloud infrastructure on AWS.
