What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Back-End Developer with at least 1 year of experience in back-end development, with a strong foundation in PHP and Laravel. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about building reliable and maintainable web applications.

You’ll work closely with project managers, front-end developers, designers, and QA teams to develop, maintain, and improve digital projects for our clients.

The Bare Essentials

  • Bachelor's / College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • At least 1 year of experience in back-end development

  • Practical experience with PHP and Laravel

  • Good knowledge of MySQL and database concepts

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms is an advantage

  • Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, and back-end application workflows

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable code

  • Willingness to follow established coding standards and development procedures

  • Basic troubleshooting and debugging skills

  • Good time management and organizational skills

  • Willingness to learn and continuously improve technical skills

  • Able to collaborate effectively with developers, QA, project managers, and other team members

  • Comfortable working with remote teams and international clients

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain back-end features using PHP and Laravel

  • Build and maintain APIs and back-end integrations as required

  • Work with MySQL databases and perform basic database management and troubleshooting

  • Collaborate with front-end developers, QA, and project managers to deliver project requirements

  • Troubleshoot bugs and resolve technical issues

  • Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards

  • Assist in maintaining and improving existing applications and systems

  • Support WordPress, Moodle, or other CMS-related development tasks when required

  • Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve coding, debugging, documentation, and productivity

  • Continuously learn and improve development practices and technical skills

  • Experience working in a digital agency or advertising environment

  • Experience working with Australian or multinational clients

  • Experience with modern development workflows and version control such as Git

  • Experience working in an Agile or collaborative development environment

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools

  • Strong command of the English language

  • Industry awards, certifications, or notable project contributions
