Backend Developer
Summary
Builds and maintains backend services, APIs, and databases using languages like Go or Node.js, ensuring scalable and reliable systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and database systems.
- Collaborate closely with frontend teams to ensure seamless API integration and optimal data flow.
- Optimize backend system performance to support scalability and increasing user demands.
- Proactively monitor backend system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Evaluate and adopt modern backend technologies to improve system efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of backend programming fundamentals, including logic, flow control, object-oriented programming (OOP), and clean code principles.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Golang (preferred), Node.js (preferred), Python, Java, or PHP.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, including API integration practices.
- Basic knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries.
- Understanding of JSON, HTTP request/response cycles, authentication, and authorization concepts.
- Familiarity with debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
