Backend Developer - Python/Django

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proficient Backend Developer with expertise in Python and Django to join their agile development team in East London . You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power our dynamic web applications. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services using Python and the Django framework.
• Design and implement efficient database schemas and queries, primarily using relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Build and integrate with RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and third-party services.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to define requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of backend systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with the Django web framework.
• Solid understanding of relational database design and SQL.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and agile methodologies.
