Summary
Builds and maintains secure, scalable backend services in Python/FastAPI: REST APIs, database components, and integrations between the Core System, internal applications, and external providers. Also handles unit testing, security/audit requirements, data migration, deployments, and technical/API documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop secure and scalable backend applications using Python and FastAPI.
- Build and maintain REST APIs, database components, and system integrations.
- Convert approved business requirements into reliable system functions.
- Integrate the Core System with internal applications and external service providers.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, performance optimization, and defect resolution.
- Apply authentication, authorization, validation, logging, and audit-trail requirements.
- Support data migration, user acceptance testing, deployment, and production issues.
- Prepare and maintain technical and API documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Practical experience in Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, and relational databases.
- Knowledge of SQL, Git, API security, automated testing, and containerization.
- Understanding of system integrations and financial transaction processing is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
