Backend Developer (Rust Python and AI)

Convosight is looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer to build scalable, high-performance systems powering our AI-driven SaaS platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Rust, Python, distributed systems, cloud technologies, and AI/LLM integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build high-performance microservices using Rust and Python.
• Develop and optimise AI-powered features leveraging LLMs and GenAI technologies.
• Design database architectures and optimise query performance.
• Integrate third-party APIs, AI models, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, AI, and Frontend teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, security, scalability, and observability.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Rust and Python.
• Hands-on experience building production-grade APIs and microservices.
• Experience with LLMs, GenAI, RAG, Vector Databases, and AI Agent frameworks.
• Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and database optimisation.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, testing, and code quality.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar AI ecosystems.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
• Exposure to MLOps and AI model deployment.
• Experience working in high-growth SaaS startups.
