Backend Developer (SDE1)

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and develop highly scalable, low-latency backend systems.
• Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for large-scale applications.
• Drive system design discussions, including trade-offs, scalability, and performance optimisation.
• Write clean, testable, and production-ready code with high coverage.
• Own services end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Optimise applications for maximum throughput, reliability, and performance.
• Implement and enforce security, data protection, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, DevOps, product, and QA teams.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java (Spring Boot / Hibernate), Python (Django / Flask / FastAPI), Node.js (Express.js / NestJS).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
