Backend Developer
Summary
Sidelines Group is hiring a backend developer in Tel Aviv to plan, build, and maintain a high-performance, scalable platform using open-source tools. Core stack is Node.js, MySQL, and REST APIs, with AWS, Jenkins CI/CD, SQS, Kafka, BigQuery, and Redis as pluses.
We are seeking a highly motivated Back-End Developer with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, which will be joining a dynamic team. A strong developer with some practical experience, and the drive and enthusiasm to succeed in a demanding and professional team environment.
We are looking for someone who can plan, build and maintain a high-performance & scalable platform. Develop elegant solutions using open-source tools.
The Back-end Developer will proactively look for ways to make the system better.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering- a big advantage
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with MySQL
- 3+ years of hands-on backend development experience
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes (K8s)- an advantage
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Argo CD)- an advantage
- Experience with message queues (SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ)- an advantage
- Experience implementing production-grade agentic AI and LLM APIs- an advantage
- Experience with in-memory databases (Redis/ElastiCache)- an advantage
- Experience with columnar databases (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks)- an advantage
- Experience working with large volumes of data and high traffic
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
