Backend Developer

Build and maintain backend services for a fintech platform using Node.js and TypeScript, integrating payments and ensuring scalable, reliable infrastructure.
We're looking for a Backend Developer to build and maintain our platform infrastructure. You'll work on our API layer, payment integrations, real-time features, and database design. You'll help ensure our platform scales reliably as we grow.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
- Integrate with payment providers (Stripe) and external services
- Write and maintain database migrations and schema
- Monitor and improve system performance and reliability
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams on feature delivery
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database design (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL
- Understanding of authentication and security best practices
Nice to have
- Experience with Supabase or similar BaaS
- AWS or cloud infrastructure experience
- Experience with event-driven architecture
