Backend Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side application logic, APIs, and database integrations.


• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices to support front-end and third-party integrations.


• Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.


• Collaborate with front-end developers and system analysts to define and implement technical requirements.


• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.


• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and system vulnerabilities.


• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.


• Write and maintain technical documentation for back-end systems and APIs.


• Ensure all developed systems comply with company security, privacy, and quality standards.


• Support deployment and monitoring of back-end services in production environments.


• Coordinate with the QA team on test planning, defect resolution, and system validation.


• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.


• Attend certification trainings or schooling as needed.


• Perform other duties as assigned by the President.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Work Experience

At least 2 years of experience in back-end software development

Skills & Competencies

Back-end programming (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, or equivalent), RESTful API development, database management (SQL/NoSQL), system security, version control (Git), problem-solving, attention to detail
