Backend Developer
Summary
TransferChain is seeking a backend developer to design and maintain distributed systems, network protocols, and developer tools using Golang. The role focuses on improving platform scalability, security, and efficiency within a remote-friendly environment.
You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve backend systems, including network protocols, distributed systems architecture, and developer tools. You will improve platform efficiency, scalability, stability, and security, contribute to technical design, maintain documentation, apply adversarial security thinking, and manage project deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend systems
- Test deploy maintain and improve backend software
- Build core network protocols and distributed systems
- Develop backend developer tools
- Improve platform efficiency scalability stability and security
- Participate in technical design sessions
- Provide development estimates and timelines
- Maintain existing and new code
- Document new code
- Apply adversarial thinking to secure system design
- Manage project priorities deadlines and deliverables
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Golang experience
- At least 5 years of development experience
- Knowledge of functional or structural programming languages
- High-level object-oriented language experience is preferred
- Strong foundation in computer science data structures algorithms and software design
- Understanding of distributed systems scalability and availability
- Proficiency designing and developing APIs for stateful communications
- Comfort programming in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Familiarity with relational database management systems
- PostgreSQL experience is a plus
- Encryption and security experience is a plus
- Blockchain technology experience is a plus
- Experience with Linux Mac OS X and Windows is a plus
- Startup experience is a plus
