Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- At least 5+ years of experience in application or production support
- Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals and experience supporting distributed systems
- Experience working with Azure, GCP/UDP, BigQuery, and Databricks
- Strong RDBMS experience with MS SQL and DB2
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-driven, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or within a team
- Willing to work in a 24×7 support structure (on-call, weekends, holidays as needed)
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, support-oriented environments with shifting priorities
- Strong time-management and customer-service orientation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end support for backend systems, APIs, and integrations built using Java, Python, Spring Boot, and cloud-native components
- Diagnose and resolve incidents, perform minor enhancements, and implement permanent fixes
- Support cloud-hosted solutions using Azure, GCP/UDP, BigQuery, and Databricks
- Work with relational databases including MS SQL and DB2
- Maintain documentation and proactively update the knowledge base
- Monitor incidents and ensure SLA compliance, escalating issues when required
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for complex incident resolution
- Execute ad hoc tasks, health checks, and proactive monitoring activities
- Conduct root-cause analysis and actively participate in continuous-improvement efforts
- Provide consultation on escalation matrices, issue handling, and process changes
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders using email, chat, or conference calls
- Assist in testing, design, and implementation activities based on business needs
- Take on functional tasks, and potentially oversee a functional area or participate in projects as a Designer, Tester, or Implementer
- Adapt to changing priorities and support requests as needed
