Opportunity Overview
Develop and maintain the backend services and cloud infrastructure that power Klass Online. The role focuses on Python backend development, Azure operations, deployment automation, and the reliability, security, and performance of our web and mobile applications. Flutter experience is preferred for supporting app integrations and frontend improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python/FastAPI services, REST APIs, asynchronous tasks, and real-time functionality.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases, query optimization, and migrations using SQLAlchemy and Alembic.
- Maintain secure authentication and integrations for payments, notifications, storage, and AI services.
- Manage Azure infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Terraform configurations.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and staging and production deployments.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production incidents, and maintain security, backups, and recovery procedures.
- Support Flutter development and API integration when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field (mandatory).
- Proven hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, and asynchronous programming.
- Strong PostgreSQL and SQL skills, including database design and query optimization.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge of Git, Linux, automated testing (Pytest), API security, JWT, and secrets management.
- Experience integrating external APIs and troubleshooting production systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience with Dart and Flutter, including UI fixes and API integration.
- Familiarity with Redis, Celery, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Terraform, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Experience with Sentry, OpenTelemetry, Firebase Cloud Messaging, payment integrations, or AI services.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
