Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Design reliable, high-performance backend systems.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Develop event-driven and batch data pipelines.
• Optimise system performance, latency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong skills in Node.js and/or Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ/Kafka.
• Good understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and debugging.
• Product company or consumer internet-scale experience preferred.

Good to Have:

• Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps.
• WebSockets or Server-Sent Events (SSE).
• Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
