Backend Engineer

You will design and build resilient APIs, libraries, and services for clearing, settlement, digital asset lending, trading, and liquidity. You will own functionality and scalability from inception through deployment and customer integration, document capabilities, collaborate on technical requirements, and mentor peers through code reviews and best-practice education.

Responsibilities

• Design and build resilient APIs, libraries, and services for financial services
• Own functionality and scalability from inception through deployment and customer integration
• Expose and document functionality for UI, third-party developers, and internal and external tooling
• Collaborate with engineering teams on technical requirements and work quality
• Mentor peers through code reviews and best-practice education

Requirements

• 6+ years of back-end server-side software development experience
• Algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
• TypeScript and Node.js
• SQL databases such as Postgres or MySQL
• RESTful API design
• Unit testing, functional testing, and debugging
• Microservices and service-oriented architectures
• Git, GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, JIRA, and Confluence
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to participate in on-call rotations
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline
• Ability to coordinate with stakeholders in the US and other global locations, including potential night calls
