Backend Engineer

Summary

Backend engineer building and scaling Bithumb Pay’s payment systems in Kotlin/Java Spring, owning APIs, distributed architecture, and concurrency for transactions.

You develop and operate the backend systems for new Bithumb Pay products across the service. You participate closely from the initial planning stage and lead rapid product improvements with other team members while owning and leading the backend area.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of Kotlin or Java Spring Framework service development and operations experience
  • Ability to make practical technical decisions considering business conditions and constraints
  • Self-directed problem-solving and rapid execution
  • Product ownership experience leading the backend area and completing products
  • Open communication and collaboration
  • Sustainable architecture design with low coupling and isolated responsibilities is preferred
  • API design and distributed system architecture experience is preferred
  • Concurrency control experience in payment or order transaction domains is preferred
  • Experience with the full 0-to-1 product cycle is preferred
  • Experience proposing product improvements and leading collaboration through implementation is preferred
  • Simple payment, finance, or virtual asset domain experience is preferred
