About the Role
You'll own core backend infrastructure at a small, high-caliber founding team building AI-native operations infrastructure for private markets. This is a foundational engineering role where your work directly powers fund accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and treasury automation — with a deep emphasis on permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability across hosted and self-hosted deployments.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain backend infrastructure with a strong focus on permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability.
Design and manage deployment architectures for both hosted and self-hosted environments using infrastructure-as-code tooling.
Improve system reliability, performance, and security in production environments.
Collaborate closely with product teams to ship features without compromising quality standards.
Drive AI-native development practices that enable rapid, high-quality releases.
What We're Looking For
1–6 years of backend development experience.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and NestJS for building production backend services.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma in production-grade backends.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi to manage deployments.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment with high ownership and low process.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: €70,000 – €110,000 per year.
Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in Berlin, Germany. This role requires regular in-person presence at the Berlin office.
