Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with a world-class team of engineers and domain experts to deliver high-quality software.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code in Go, Node.js, or Python.
• Architect and build systems that can handle large volumes of data from various sources.
• Take ownership of features from conception to deployment.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the future of our backend systems.
• Understand and address the limitations of systems and architecture to ensure reliability and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in writing maintainable code with AI.
• Strong proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Go, Node.js, Python.
• Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience building and deploying scalable, distributed systems.
• Familiarity with database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL).
• A pragmatic approach to engineering, with a focus on delivering value and solving problems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and related technologies (e. g., RAG).
• Familiarity with SAP systems and data structures.
• Experience with data-intensive applications and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e. g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Contributions to open-source projects.
