You'll work across the full software development lifecycle, helping turn complex business requirements into robust, high-performing solutions whilst contributing to architectural decisions and engineering best practices.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and building scalable backend services using Python.
- Developing cloud-native applications within AWS environments.
- Contributing to system design, architecture and engineering standards.
- Working closely with Product, Design and wider business teams.
- Supporting code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building solutions within a modern microservices architecture.
- Mentoring engineers and sharing technical knowledge across the team.
- Strong Python development experience.
- Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Exposure to frameworks such as Django, FastAPI or similar.
- AWS cloud experience.
- Understanding of distributed systems, object-oriented design and software engineering best practices.
- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of Kafka, Kubernetes or containerised environments would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
