Backend Engineer for AI Data Integration Pilot (UK)
Summary
Backend engineer in London who owns the technical implementation of enterprise pilots for an existing AI product: accessing a customer's data, building the integration, mapping it for reliable querying, and tailoring the product to agreed use cases — often with incomplete documentation and no clean modern API.
Optific+ in London is seeking a backend-focused engineer to own the technical implementation of enterprise pilots. You will work with a multi-site optical group to access data, build the integration, map it for reliable querying, and tailor the product to the agreed use cases while the pilot runs.
This is not greenfield development; the challenge is making an existing AI product work in a real customer environment with incomplete documentation and no clean modern API.
