Backend Engineer (Golang)
Summary
Design, build, and test backend microservices in Golang, deploying and maintaining them on AWS with Terraform/CloudFormation, including production debugging and on-call ownership within Agile sprints. Fully remote B2B role; core stack is Go, TypeScript, Docker/Kubernetes, REST APIs, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities:
- Designing, writing, testing functionalities for a backend system written in Golang (Go)
- Deploying and maintaining microservices in AWS using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Debugging and maintaining system on production used by consumers across multiple continents
- Scoping and assessing the complexity of features
- Participating in sprint planning, daily sprints and meetings with product owners for grooming new features
- Collaborating with other team members and teams who depend on functionalities that you develop

You will need to be proficient in backend development with demonstrated commercial infrastructure experience.
Required qualifications:
- 3-5 years of production software development experience in a commercial software engineering role using Golang
- Solid hands-on experience in Typescript
- Have owned or co-owned infrastructure for a production service (on-call, capacity planning, incident response etc.)
- Experience using Docker and Kubernetes in production
- Experience in working with AWS/GCP and Terraform / CloudFormation
- Expertise of REST APIs
- Strong hands-on experience of CI&CD processes
- Computer Science degree
- Comfortable with AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor etc.)
- Able to work with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and/or Kanban
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivation, proactive attitude
- Proficiency in English, it's our daily business language
Nice to have:
- Background in the AdTech sector, or experience in another low-latency/high-scale environment
- ML Experience
