Backend Engineer (Golang)

We're looking for a Backend Engineer (Go) with 1-2 years of experience in fintech to design, build, and maintain backend services that handle financial transactions with high standards of reliability and data integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain backend services in Go
• Design and implement REST APIs and gRPC services for internal and external consumers
• Model and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and migrations
• Implement caching strategies to improve latency and reduce database load
• Containerize services with Docker and support deployment pipelines
• Ensure data integrity, idempotency, and correct handling of financial transactions
• Write tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of backend engineering experience, preferably in fintech
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, query optimization, transactions, and migrations
• Familiar with caching using Redis or equivalent, along with REST and gRPC API design
• Comfortable working with Docker for containerized services
• Solid Git workflow, including branching, pull requests, and code review
• Understands fintech engineering practices such as idempotency, decimal precision for monetary values, audit logging, and safe concurrent transactions
• Good communicator, proactive in flagging blockers, and open to learning new technologies
