Backend Engineer (Java/Golang)
Summary
Backend engineer (3+ years) building microservices and REST/gRPC APIs in Java and/or Golang using Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka and Redis-like stores, with unit testing and Git. On-site role in Tangerang, Indonesia; financial-services industry experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Back-End Engineer or Back-End Developer.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs.
Good understanding of databases, authentication, and authorization concepts.
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow established software development standards and practices.
Previous experience in a financial services company or industry is a plus.
Technical Skills
Programming Languages: Java and/or Golang.
Frameworks & Libraries: Spring Boot, including Spring Cloud Gateway, Eureka, Feign, JPA, and Config Server; Gorilla/mux; Proto-gen-go.
Databases: PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Familiarity with Kafka, Valkey (Redis), and MinIO.
Familiarity with implementing RESTful APIs and gRPC.
Good understanding of Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles.
Experience writing and implementing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT, OAuth, and HMAC.
Proficiency with Git and version control practices.
Basic knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD is a plus.
Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms is a plus.
