Backend Engineer (Java, Spring Boot)
Summary
Build and maintain scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices for a client platform, focusing on performance, security, and CI/CD automation.
SALT Talent is looking for a Back End Engineer in Singapore for a technology client for 12 months & renewable contract role. Your primary responsibility will be to develop the platform, and to collaborate with product owner and team members.
Responsibilities: Hands on Design, Development, Deployment & Support of JavaScript and TypeScript based platforms, frameworks, and web applications Incorporates standards and best practices, including performance, security, scalability and maintainability Interact with Business System Analysts to design and deliver technical solutions to support various business functions Create rich web user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Typescript. Create server-side functionality using asynchronous, highly scalable design principles Provide thought leadership and lead innovation by exploring, investigating, recommending, benchmarking and implementing tools and frameworks.
Qualification: Minimum 3+ years of backend expertise in application design & development with Java technologies, with knowledge of Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Message Queues & Workflow Engines with layered-microservices architecture. Minimum of 2+ years of expertise in writing Test Automation scripts using JUnit / Cucumber Experience with database & caching technologies (Postgres, Oracle, Redis, and Timeseries Databases) Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of professional software development experience Professional Experience: architecting, building, deploying, and maintaining customer-facing applications at scale in an innovative engineering environment Strong programming foundation with knowledge in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns. Use a DevSecOps mindset to improve CICD using Github Actions Knowledge on NexusIQ, SonarQube, Sonar Linting, DAST scans, DDoS attacks, Defensive Coding & Penetration Testing concepts Experience in architecting and building large-scale systems using a scale-out architecture that requires high availability, performance, high scalability, and multi-tenancy.
