About the Role

Our client, a global leader in Digital Payments, is building a next-generation mobile payment platform that enables secure proximity payments and e-commerce transactions.

The platform empowers banks and enterprises to deliver seamless, multi-channel payment experiences through a unified, cloud-enabled, and highly secure ecosystem. It integrates mobile SDKs, backend services, and cloud technologies to provide scalable, enterprise-grade payment solutions.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer (JavaScript / Node.js) to join the R&D engineering team and contribute to the development of secure backend services, system integrations, and management platforms that power this innovative digital payment ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Platform Development

• Design, develop, and maintain secure backend services using JavaScript (Node.js).
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices supporting mobile payment applications.
• Develop cloud-based backend solutions that integrate seamlessly with mobile SDKs and enterprise platforms.
• Ensure secure integration with authentication services, payment gateways, and cloud infrastructure.

System & Platform Integration

• Develop management platforms and dashboards for system monitoring and administration.
• Collaborate closely with mobile SDK teams to deliver robust backend integrations.
• Design secure API architectures aligned with digital identity and payment security standards.

Engineering & Product Development

• Apply object-oriented design principles and modern backend engineering best practices.
• Contribute to platform enhancements, feature development, and technical architecture discussions.
• Participate in R&D initiatives to improve scalability, security, and performance.

Quality & Reliability

• Develop unit tests and automated testing to ensure high software quality.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and build automation tools to support efficient software delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide Level 3 technical support when required.

Collaboration

• Partner with mobile developers, security engineers, architects, and product teams.
• Deliver secure, high-quality payment solutions within a highly regulated environment.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong hands-on experience in JavaScript backend development (Node.js).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of secure API development and authentication protocols.
• Experience working with cloud-based backend infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and scalable software architecture.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and build automation tools.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
