Backend Engineer

• Build and launch customer-facing features through Django backend services


• Improve customer experience through performance optimizations


• Reduce technical debt and improve the engineering team's quality of life

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the US or Canada


• Able to travel to both the US and Canada


• Willing and able to work in person, 2 days per week in office at one of the hubs


• Experienced in Python web development


• Django and Ninja experience is a bonus


• Solid grasp of computer science and algorithm fundamentals


• Exceptional research and debugging skills


• Understanding of technical trade-offs and the YAGNI principle


• Independent problem simplification skills

• Ability to collaborate and support teammates in person
