Summary
Koncco Studio is hiring a Backend Engineer (on-site in Bantul, Indonesia) to design, build, and maintain backend services in Go, including REST/gRPC APIs, PostgreSQL schema and query optimization, Redis caching, and Docker-based deployments, with a strong focus on correct handling of financial transactions.
- Design, build, and maintain backend services in Go
- Design and implement REST APIs and gRPC services for internal and external consumers
- Model and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and migrations
- Implement caching strategies to improve latency and reduce database load
- Containerize services with Docker and support deployment pipelines
- Ensure data integrity, idempotency, and correct handling of financial transactions
- Write tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation
Requirements
- 1-2 years of backend engineering experience, preferably in fintech
- Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, query optimization, transactions, and migrations
- Familiar with caching using Redis or equivalent, along with REST and gRPC API design
- Comfortable working with Docker for containerized services
- Solid Git workflow, including branching, pull requests, and code review
- Understands fintech engineering practices such as idempotency, decimal precision for monetary values, audit logging, and safe concurrent transactions
- Good communicator, proactive in flagging blockers, and open to learning new technologies
- Willing to work on-site (WFO) in Bantul (Join ASAP)
