Backend Engineer (Mid–Senior)
Summary
A mid–senior backend engineer will design, implement, and own backend service modules (API design, data modeling, error handling) for membership management and back-office platform systems, onsite in Makati CBD. Core stack is Node.js/TypeScript with MySQL or MS SQL, plus AWS/GCP, Redis, Git, and AI-assisted development tools.

You will take ownership of backend service modules - design, implementation, and reliability - participate in code reviews, and support mid-level teammates as the team grows.

About you
- 4+ years of professional backend development experience
- Node.js (Express / Next.js API routes); TypeScript required
- MySQL or MS SQL required; Redis a plus
- AWS or GCP exposure; Git
- Able to design and own a service module: API design, data modeling, and error handling
- Able to debug independently across API -> database -> logs
- Experience participating in code reviews
- Proficient with AI-assisted development tools
- Strong written English for async collaboration with Taiwan HQ
- GitHub profile (or code samples) required with application
