A leading global tech company is looking for a Backend Engineer (.NET/C#) to join an internal-products team powering critical business operations. Fully freelance role, contracted through Shakers.


What you'll do

  • Develop and own backend features end-to-end on internal products: design, implementation, delivery, monitoring in production.
  • Participate actively in architectural discussions and code reviews.
  • Translate business requirements (with PMs) into scalable, event-driven solutions.
  • Optimize PostgreSQL schemas and query performance.
  • Collaborate with Design and Frontend to define robust API contracts.
  • Build and maintain background processing and asynchronous workflows.


Stack .NET (C#) · PostgreSQL · Azure Service Bus · Hangfire · Azure · Terraform (nice to have) · DDD (nice to have)


Must-have

  • 3–5 years building and deploying web applications.
  • Strong .NET/C# with solid OOP foundations.
  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL: efficient queries and schema optimization.
  • Hands-on with background jobs (Hangfire) and event-driven architecture with message brokers (Azure Service Bus or similar).
  • Automated testing (unit + integration) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in English and Portuguese.


Nice-to-have

  • Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Microsoft Azure + Terraform (IaC).
  • Other message brokers (RabbitMQ).
