Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python.
• Integrate and manage multiple external APIs, ensuring reliability, performance, and fault tolerance.
• Build and optimize data ingestion, validation, transformation, and processing pipelines.
• Analyze data flows and system performance to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
• Architect backend services that are scalable, secure, and resilient.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, data, and frontend engineering.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure system health and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (e. g., FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• Proven experience integrating third-party APIs and handling complex data exchanges.
• Solid understanding of RESTful services and asynchronous processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing data pipelines or ETL systems.
• Exposure to distributed systems or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of caching strategies and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience working with high-volume or real-time data systems.
