Wise is seeking a backend engineer to help build and scale the Direct Debit/payments platform. You will design, develop, test, and maintain backend services in Java and Kotlin (Spring Boot) deployed on AWS, and contribute to high-volume financial transactions.
You will work with cross-functional teams to build RESTful APIs, optimize data models in PostgreSQL, and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka. Strong focus on reliability, security, and performance.
