Backend Engineer (Python developer)

Key Responsibilities

• Support, optimization, and development of the Agriculture AI product backend infrastructure.
• Development of new product functionalities and improvement of the existing features.
• Working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) using QGIS.
• Development and optimization of various services.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development experience using Python, Django.
• Programming Language: Python 3.12+.
• Web Frameworks: Django 3+.
• Databases: PostgreSQL.
• Task Queues: RabbitMQ.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Understanding of ECR, S3, EC2, EKS; a general understanding of AWS is important.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Background Task Frameworks: Celery.
• Version Control System: Git.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Web Frameworks: Django REST Framework, FastAPI.
• Python Libraries: Pandas, GeoPandas, NumPy, GDAL, OSGeo.
• Databases: Redis, PostGIS, MongoDB.
• CI/CD: GitLab, ArgoCD.

Team: Product Owner, PM, BE developers (Python, Django, AWS), FE developers (JS, TypeScript, React), part-time QA (0.5 FTE) - Mobile developers (Android/iOS).

The project works according to Scrum.
