About the role Our client is a prominent global e-commerce brand that is looking to grow its engineering team. This team is responsible for developing and improving large-scale distributed systems that support a high-traffic international e-commerce platform. The engineering group collaborates across various business and platform areas, including retail transactions, order management, fulfillment, product management, search and recommendation systems, pricing and promotions, platform engineering, and cloud-native services on AWS.

What you'll do
- Design and implement backend services to enhance the e-commerce platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address system requirements and challenges.
- Optimize system performance and scalability to support growing user demand.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
- Strong understanding of database management systems and data modeling.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
Nice to have
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies such as React or Angular.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
