# Backend Developer (Laravel & Node.js) ## Job Summary We are looking for a **skilled Backend Developer** with strong expertise in **Laravel** and **Node.js** to build scalable REST APIs and backend systems that power our web, mobile, and internal admin platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience in API development, database design, Shopify integrations, authentication systems, and cloud-ready application architecture. You will work closely with frontend developers, mobile developers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams to build secure, scalable, and high-performance applications. ## Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using **Laravel (PHP)** and **Node.js (Express.js/NestJS)**. - Design and develop secure, scalable **RESTful APIs** for web and mobile applications. - Build authentication, authorization, and **role-based access control (RBAC)** systems. - Integrate Shopify Storefront and Admin APIs for product, collection, inventory, and order management. - Develop product synchronization modules to import and manage Shopify product data within **MySQL**. - Build and maintain **Laravel Admin Panel** modules for product enrichment and business operations. - Design, optimize, and maintain **MySQL, PostgreSQL**, and/or **MongoDB** database structures. - Implement product import/export workflows using **JSON**. - Build queues, scheduled jobs (Cron), caching, background processing, and event-driven workflows. - Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, SMS, email, WhatsApp APIs, cloud storage, and analytics platforms. - Optimize application performance, database queries, API response times, and server-side processes. - Ensure application security by following **OWASP** and backend security best practices. - Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis. - Collaborate closely with frontend and mobile developers to ensure seamless API integrations. - Participate in code reviews, deployment planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. ## Qualifications - 3–6 years of **backend development** experience. - Strong proficiency in **Laravel (PHP)** and **Node.js (Express.js or NestJS)**. - Experience designing and developing **scalable RESTful APIs**. - Strong knowledge of **MySQL**, **PostgreSQL**, and **MongoDB**. - Experience integrating **Shopify APIs** and third-party REST APIs. - Experience handling **JSON** data import/export and API integrations. - Experience implementing authentication using **JWT**, **Sanctum**, **Passport**, **OAuth**, or similar technologies. - Experience with **Redis, queues, caching, scheduled jobs**, and background processing. - Understanding of API documentation using **Swagger/OpenAPI**. - Familiarity with **Docker** and containerized development. - Experience with **Git** and version control workflows. - Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work under tight timelines while delivering high-quality solutions. ## Preferred Skills - Experience with **AWS** or other cloud platforms. - Knowledge of **WebSockets, Socket.IO**, and real-time communication. - Experience building **healthcare, e-commerce, ERP, CRM**, or **enterprise applications**. - Familiarity with **CI/CD pipelines** and **DevOps** practices. - Understanding of scalable system architecture, microservices, and event-driven architecture. ##
