Backend Engineer
Summary
Design and build scalable backend services and APIs in Java or Go, optimize performance, and maintain cloud-based systems for a product-focused team.
What You Will Do:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, and data integrations.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices.
- Improve and optimize existing systems for better performance and reliability.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and respond to alerts proactively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Participate in architectural discussions and propose innovative solutions for high-traffic environments.
- Contribute to post-mortem analyses and continuously improve system resilience
Person We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a reputable university
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in efficient backend development
- Proficiency in Java (is a must), or Go- Ability to dive deep and work across backend services, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and maintainability
- RESTful API design and development
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) is a Plus
- Secure coding standard
- Eagerness to continuously learn whether it’s technology-related, product-related, or beyond
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability for both the product(s) and assigned tasks- Version control using Git; CI/CD pipeline experience testing and performance optimization
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
