Backend Engineer

Stratzi AI is looking for a Backend Developer to join our engineering and AI teams. You'll work on scalable backend systems powering AI-driven applications while gaining hands-on exposure to LLMs, APIs, databases, cloud services, and modern backend technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.
• Build server-side applications using Python and Java.
• Integrate LLMs, AI platforms, and third-party APIs.
• Work with SQL databases and optimize queries/data pipelines.
• Debug backend issues and contribute to performance improvements.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, frontend developers, and product teams.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and production maintenance.

Requirements:

• 0-1 year of experience.
• Freshers with relevant internships, academic projects, or personal backend/AI projects are welcome.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong understanding of Python.
• Basic-to-intermediate knowledge of Java.
• Understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL or other SQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Strong fundamentals in DSA and OOP.
• Basic understanding of Linux/CLI.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to LLMs such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or open-source models.
• Understanding of Prompt Engineering.
• Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI frameworks.
• Interest in RAG, AI Agents, and Generative AI.
