Backend Engineer

About the role

We are hiring a remote Backend Engineer to build the APIs and distributed services behind our platform. You will own services end to end, from schema design to production operations.

What you will do

• Design and build backend services and APIs in production
• Model data in PostgreSQL and keep queries fast at scale
• Operate services on AWS, including monitoring and incident response
• Collaborate with product engineers on service contracts

Must have

• 4+ years building backend services or APIs in production
• Strong PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database experience
• Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider

Nice to have

• Distributed or event-driven architecture experience; Python or Go
