TypeScript Engineer
Reporting to the feature team, you will design and develop microservices and event‑driven architectures, primarily on AWS serverless infrastructure. You will collaborate with front‑end (React), infra (AWS), and backend teams to create fast, maintainable, and well‑tested code.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on architecture, technical design and the building of applications.
- Produce clean, stable, fast and well‑architected code.
- Own the quality of the code by writing unit, integration and E2E tests.
- Own and operate New10 backend, including on‑call incident management.
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest technologies and ensure alignment across teams.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in the JavaScript/NodeJS ecosystem (TypeScript preferred).
- Good knowledge of modern front‑end JavaScript frameworks (React preferred).
- Experience with AWS cloud services and serverless architecture (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EventBridge, etc.).
- Experience with Docker and containerised applications.
- Strong experience designing synchronous (REST APIs) and asynchronous (event‑driven) communication patterns.
- Python knowledge is a major plus.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) experience is a major plus.
- Strong soft‑skills: empathy, communication, self‑leadership, organisation, time management, and presentation.
